(I being the one who wants to do everything RIGHT NOW - what is this "patience" you speak of?)

Anyways, I have all kinds of things I *should* be doing (I think my roommate might kill me if I don't clean up my carpet of sheet music in the living room sometime soon...) but it's far more interesting to sit here reading your blog. It's nice to have somebody else make sense of my thoughts for me! Perhaps I shall have to check back here more often.

P.S. If you're feeling like making another road trip, you should come visit me in Victoria! There's lots of room to crash at my house! ;)

P.P.S. If there's one thing I did learn this year, it's how to avoid being entirely unprepared for lessons. The secret is to have your lesson scheduled for first thing Monday morning, before you have any classes or other rehearsals. This probably sounds absurd, but the logic is as follows: Over the weekend, I tend to think most about whatever I have to do first the next week. So if the first thing I have on Monday is musicianship, that's what I'll worry about all weekend. By putting my lesson first, I think about that all weekend, and practicing suddenly gets priority over schoolwork. I tell you, it works like a charm for me! :)Christinenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32798563.post-92168056459703088272009-03-23T11:54:00.000-06:002009-03-23T11:54:00.000-06:00Robyn i'd have to agree that yes sometimes things ...Robyn i'd have to agree that yes sometimes things work out perfectly but there are some things that just aren't meant to be. I'm not speaking higher power type "meant to be" sort of thing. But i mean when two people are dating and they're just not right for eachother... But then you could argue that it's not meant to work out so maybe the relationship not working is in a sense life working... i dunno. I guess it's how you look at things.

P.S. I'm actually trying to get on here more often!Corey de Baathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17748988577005085047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32798563.post-63488583746411354462009-03-19T10:13:00.000-06:002009-03-19T10:13:00.000-06:00Blogs are kind of confusing right now. You're not trying to please other people. We read your blog because we're your friends. It's like having a chat with you.tangohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11555117416785880283noreply@blogger.com
